The Source for Premium Cigars

March 10th, 2010 by admin

Today’s society is populated with thousands of cigar producers. The selection of available brands is pretty much unlimited. However, the true cigar aficionado will know that the real premier sources of fine cigars can be counted on one hand. We are in no way insinuating that there are no other sources of fine tobacco products, but these 5 are the choice sources overall. First, naturally, there are the Cuban cigars. Cuba has been making fine tobacco products for decades, with some of the most requested products in the world. One isn’t thought to be a true cigar backer unless he or she has smoked at least one or two premier Cuban cigars on line. Naturally, any one in the continental United States will have some difficulty finding these because of the Cuban trade embargo put into place by President John F. Kennedy in the sixties. Next on the list there’s Honduras. The presence of the cigar industry in the Honduras was a mixed effort both by Cuba and by the United States. This is the United States alternative choice for finding Cuban-like cigars, and is a highly prized source for American high visibility cigar smokers. The products aren’t actually Cuban, but they aren’t far from it either. Though not holding almost the fame as the remainder of the options, the Philippines have developed a particularly effective industry in premier cigar and tobacco production and distribution. The Philippine brands are a lot simpler on the palette than some of the Cubans and other high visibility cigars, so this is commonly a choice smoke for the dynamic or new cigar smoker. Next we have what is largely thought to be the next-best thing to Cubans, Dominican Republic Cigars. On a world basis, the Dominican Republic holds the title of largest manufacturer which makes Don Tomas cigars. More cigars are made and exported from this country than any other. This is a fave source for cigar smokers and the one with the largest presence in cigar shops. Lastly, we’ve got Mexican Cigars. While not necessarily the selection of the major cigar backers, Mexico manufactured cigars do have a specific number of brands that are held in high esteem by smokers of premier tobaccos. The Mexican cigars are clearly not for the newbie smokers, as they have an inclination to be a bit stronger and more spicy than most.
