On
August 29th, IPMS Guayaquil witnessed the presentation
of the Ecuadorian Space Program, conducted by Ronnie
Nader, the first Ecuadorian astronaut. This event took
place in the Isabela Ballroom at Hilton Colon Hotel in
Guayaquil and among many assistants could be found Brig.
General Leonardo Barreiro, COAD Chief Commander, Cap.
Vanessa Llerena, Public Relations of the Ecuadorian Air
Force; Mr. Jimmy
Galvez, President of IPMS Guayaquil; Mr. Samir Chedraui,
of IPMS Guayaquil Events Commision; members of the
Russian Embassy among others. This event was the
official start of the first Ecuadorian space program. |

During
this important event, many agreements were signed,
oriented to conduct the launch of the first Ecuadorian
satellite, the construction of a space port provided
with launch stations, and the creation of the Ecuadorian
Civil Space Agency. More informatio about
