We’ve been doing busy just fine for the last 25 years.  Our mom and pop grocery store is a local favorite to everyone in town.  For generations, people have come to us for all of their general and grocery needs.  We have strong relationships with all of our customers and fellow business owners.  However, over the past two years, things started to go in a downward spiral for us financially due to the costly infractions that we incurred.  Within a two year time span our small business was the target for five sting operations and each time we were hit with fines for over two thousand dollars.  My grandfather has been the head of the store since we opened and he is pretty “old fashioned” and relied on “simple math” or just “knowing” that a person was of age to purchase alcohol or tobacco products.  That seemed to get him by for decades but times have drastically changed.  He knew that he needed something bigger than a piece of paper and a pencil but we all had to jump in and convince him to step into the times and purchase an ID Checker.  We did the research and found a perfect device that would work for everyone in the store including grandpa.  It involved no installation, was simple to use and sat right by our checkout register to calculate the age.Once we received it, we plugged the Counter Top ID Checker in and started to use it right away.  Grandpa was amazed at how user friendly and accurate it was.  He now scans everyone’s ID when they are interested in purchasing alcohol or tobacco products.  So, even though it took a little convincing from us to bring my 70 year old grandfather up to speed; he realizes now that he has avoided future fines and that the Low Cost ID Checker has saved him so much money and even his business.  Everyone is happy because we intend on doing business for another 25 years ticket free now that we have our ID Checker in place.

Don’t you remember fondly the very first time you saw glow sticks glowing after dark and ultizing them to go on a hunting adventure at nighttime. The kids went crazy using them all evening, just running back and forth with their glowing bracelets and necklaces! Or did you ever watch youngsters have fun with a simple common box of card board putting things in, taking them out, covering things up, or tossing things into it from a distance. Getting innovative comes naturally to a child when they’re not force fed activities.

Oh to become a child all over again! I hope we could guide them once again to savor the simple things – it would be a joy to view. It would also be a joy as a parent to get my wallet full once again!
