College Is Something We Should Not Skip

Why can’t I get a job? I finished high school but that is what they all say, ‘only’ high school. They said I need to finish college so I could be accepted by them. I don’t want to go to college. I just graduated from high school two years and three months now and because I refused to go to college, I had been given unemployment benefits to help me find one. I had been given unemployment benefits for 98 weeks now. I wonder what will happen when it is the 99th week already. Though until now, I haven’t found a decent job, I hope on the 99th week, my unemployment benefits after 99 weeks would end since I already have a job. That is, if I get a job next week. I’ve been eyeing this book company. I tried to apply for the driver position to get out all books to other warehouses around the country. Then again, I was declined. I also applied for a position for their warehouse men that go and load, unload and audit the books that comes in and out. Again, I was declined. Now I have no idea what other positions I would apply in that company. I even tried to ask for the position of being the janitor of the warehouse nearest to me but still, they didn’t accept me. I lost hope and decided to just stay home but that wouldn’t solve the bills that are coming in each month. The same day I decided to just stay home, the benefits company called and they told me they’ll be cutting off my benefits after the 103rd week. I asked them how do i extend my unemployment benefits but they said that is the extension already. So, I had no choice. I went back to school, finished college and got a diploma after four years. That gave me hope and I applied for a position for the book company I liked and after so long, my dream of getting a job on that company was finally reached. Maybe going to college is something we should not skip. It would give us new opportunities and could be the key upon reaching our goal.
