Great Service and Results At NY Alcohol Rehab

Getting a person who needs help breaking an addiction is a hard step to take. We have experienced it first hand with a close family friend of ours.
Our friend struggled with alcohol for over a year. We continually counselled her over several months and tried to encourage her to give it up. We suggested at one point enrolling herself into a NY alcohol abuse treatment program but she refused because she felt that she didn’t have a problem and it was her husband.
It caused their marriage to break up and we were really concerned for her. Unfortunately, the divorce hit her hard and she sank deep into depression. Being in that state of mind really didn’t help her and we were really worried that she would do something dumb. Thinking that she could drink herself out of it, she spent much of her nights drinking at the Irish pub near her place.
We were at wits end and finally decided to push her along the right path by researching some NY alcohol rehab centers around the area for her. With some researching online, we found one and brought her there to “take a look”. When the whole experience of being in an alcohol rehab was demystified, she decided to give it a go and enrolled herself into it. Granted it was tough initially because she was still in denial about the seriousness of her problem. But after a week, she came to her senses and received the treatment with a more cooperative attitude.
The results turned out great as she’s become a lot more positive and appears to really look forward to starting the next day. She’s out now and has been alcohol free for over 14 days. She’s happier and has taken up some hobbies to fill up her time so her mind won’t wander into the unhappy things of the past. Her feedback on the alcohol rehab was great. Everyone she met there was really helpful and showed care and concern for her. We are really happy for her progress.
